A 34-year-old police officer attached to the Arouca Police Station was arrested after a stolen bulletproof vest was recovered during a search at his Sangre Grande home on Friday.
Police said the search, led officers of the North Eastern Division Gang Unit, was part of an investigation into reports of lockers being broken into at a police station and official items from kits missing.
One TTPS-issued bulletproof vest, reported stolen from an officer attached to the Guard and Emergency Branch, was recovered and confiscated.
