India’s Minister of External Affairs Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar will pay a historic solo two-day visit to Trinidad and Tobago today and tomorrow, as both nations build on their bilateral relations.
This follows the State visit of India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi in July 2025, where six Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between Trinidad and Tobago and India, under Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, to strengthen bilateral relations across key sectors, including health, agriculture, renewable energy, justice, education, trade, and public administration.
During the July 2025 State visit, Jaishankar was also present.
