A 74-year-old woman was robbed during a confrontation at her home in St Ann’s on Friday evening, but later recovered her belongings after giving chase to the suspect.
Police said the incident occurred around 5.45 p.m. at a residence along A Fondes Amandes Road.
According to reports, the victim was reversing her vehicle into her garage when an unknown man approached the driver’s side and demanded money. The suspect, described as slim and wearing a red cap, grabbed the woman’s handbag, which contained her wallet, identification card, driver’s permit, debit card, an iPhone 7 and about $6 in cash.
