IT was a closed-casket funeral for Ria George, a woman remembered not only for her outward beauty but for the quiet grace, strength and warmth that defined her radiant spirit.
The family, co-workers and neighbours of George, 47, bid a tearful farewell at yesterday’s funeral and cremation at Boodoo’s Funeral Home in Penal.
A week ago, George succumbed to injuries she suffered when she was severely burned in an LPG tank explosion in her Debe home in August. A post-mortem found she suffered multiple organ failure due to third-degree burns sustained to 32% of her body.
