A mother’s final moments with her daughter became the most painful memory shared as seven-year-old Angelica Saydee Jogie was laid to rest yesterday, her life cut short in a jet ski tragedy in Tobago.
The funeral service brought together family, friends, schoolmates, residents and well-wishers, who united in mourning to say goodbye to the child remembered for her love of the beach, dancing, and having fun with her family.
The tents at her family’s home on Cemetery Road, Barrackpore, were decorated in shades of pink and purple—the young girl’s favourite colours—accented with balloons, soft drapery and florals. Photographs capturing her bright smile were mounted on walls and banners.
