A 16-year-old boy has been charged with sev­er­al counts of ha­rass­ment fol­low­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions in­to cy­ber-re­lat­ed threats made against stu­dents and staff of Rio Claro East Sec­ondary School be­tween No­vem­ber 2025 and Feb­ru­ary 2026.

Po­lice said the charges stem from re­ports of bomb threats and threat­en­ing mes­sages sent through SMS and Tik­Tok ac­counts op­er­at­ing un­der sev­er­al alias­es.

Ac­cord­ing to the Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice (TTPS), of­fi­cers of the East­ern Di­vi­sion car­ried out ex­ten­sive in­ves­ti­ga­tions with sup­port from the Cy­ber and So­cial Me­dia Unit (CSMU).
