A 28-year-old motorcyclist became this country’s latest road fatality when he crashed his bike during an accident in Curepe on Wednesday night.
Richard Nangwah was riding his Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle along Southern Main Road at 10.15 pm when he collided with a silver Kia Cerato. The impact threw Nangwah from the motorcycle onto a pavement, while the car crashed into a nearby light pole and caught fire. The 26-year-old driver escaped.
Officers from the North Central Division and firefighters from the San Juan Fire Station went to the scene and extinguished the blaze.
