The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service has issued an updated yellow level high wind alert for Trinidad and Tobago and surrounding waters, warning that breezy to windy conditions are expected to continue intermittently until tomorrow afternoon.
In a public warning message issued at 10.03 am today, the Met Office said gusts exceeding 55 kilometres per hour are likely, especially near showers. The conditions are expected to be more severe in eastern areas and along elevated terrain.
The Met Office warned that while the gusts may be brief, they could still displace unsecured roofs and loose outdoor items and break tree branches.
