A 19-year-old woman was killed and four others injured when a car and a bus collided at the intersection of Henry and Park Streets, Port of Spain, early Wednesday.

Police said the crash occurred around 3:45 a.m. when a black Honda Vezel proceeding east along Park Street was struck on its right side as it crossed the intersection. The driver lost control, crashing into a traffic light and an electricity pole before the vehicle flipped onto its left side and landed on the pavement.

Emergency responders, with the assistance of the Fire Service, removed the occupants from the wreckage. They were taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital by ambulance.
