A high-speed crash along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway late Saturday night has claimed the lives of four people, including a child, and left a fifth in critical condition.
Police reported that around 10p.m, a Hyundai Creta (registration PDY 8181) travelling at high speed in the southbound lane near the Claxton Bay overpass veered off the roadway. The SUV flipped several times before landing in an area between the highway ramp and the highway.
First responders discovered four unresponsive occupants in the wreckage, including two women, a man, and a young girl. They were all pronounced dead at the scene.
