The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service has issued a yellow level hazardous seas alert for northern exposed coastlines of Trinidad and Tobago, including north-facing coastlines of the Gulf of Paria to a lesser extent.
The alert takes effect from 5 am tomorrow and runs until 9 am on February 28.
In a public warning issued at 1.20 pm today, the TTMS said high-energy, long period northerly swells are expected to produce large breakers along nearshore northern coastal areas.
