Less than 24 hours after relatives received proof of life for kidnapped Monos Island couple Derek Tardieu and his wife Claribel, negotiations have started to lower the ransom demand for them.
Initially, a US$2.5 million ransom was demanded for the couple’s release.
Police sources said a request had been made for the sum to be lowered, however, the kidnappers refused.
