The estimated street value of high-grade marijuana seized by police in Central Trinidad on Friday was about $103 million, police said yesterday.
An operation was conducted around 2 p.m. at Riverside Marina, Cacandee Road, Felicity, by officers of the Central Division Gang Unit, Criminal Investigations Department, Crime Scene Unit and the Task Force, police said in a release. The release noted:
“During the exercise, officers, acting on intelligence, proceeded to the Marina, where they observed a white Kia K2700 motor vehicle parked suspiciously between two moored vessels. The tray of the vehicle was also observed to have been covered with a blue tarpaulin, which further aroused the suspicion of the officers.
