A 71-year-old man who left his ve­hi­cle at a car wash in Gas­par­il­lo re­turned to find it miss­ing.

Po­lice said around 11 am on Mon­day, the pen­sion­er left his white Nis­san Car­a­van pan­el van, val­ued at $70,000, at a car wash on Rail­way Road, Re­form Vil­lage, near Feed De­pot, to be cleaned. He hand­ed the keys to the own­er and left.

When he re­turned three hours lat­er, the van was gone. The own­er re­port­ed­ly told po­lice she had left the keys on the stairs and did not know who took the ve­hi­cle
