HOMELAND SECURITY Minister Roger Alexander says the murders of Amelia Hernandez and her common-law husband Devaughn Toussaint in front their daughter on Friday had brought Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar to her limit.
Speaking to the Express during Kiddies Carnival celebrations in Tunapuna yesterday, he recalled the Prime Minister calling him when she heard of the double homicide at a Couva playpark.
“My Prime Minister Ms Kamla Persad-Bissessar who don’t like to sleep because she will call 4 o’clock in the morning and say ‘Alexander what is happening here, Alexander what is happening here?’” he said.
