Woman held as police find assault rifle, ammo, cannabis

A 43-year-old woman was arrested after police seized an assault rifle, ammunition and cannabis products during an intelligence-led operation in Curepe on Friday night.
The operation was between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. by officers of the Northern North Division Task Force, who searched a residence on Harris Street, Curepe, based on information received by police.
During the search of a bedroom, officers found an AR rifle, several types of ammunition and cannabis-related items, according to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS).
