ForĀmer CuĀmuĀto/ManĀzanilĀla MP Dr Rai RagĀbir has broĀken his siĀlence folĀlowĀing a jab from UNC Tabaquite canĀdiĀdate Sean Sobers, who deĀscribed RagĀbir as havĀing āpassed through like a vaĀgrant.ā
In a sharply wordĀed stateĀment tiĀtledĀ Some Things NevĀer Change, RagĀbir said the reĀmarks were a painful reĀminder of why he left the UNC. He acĀcused the parĀty of beĀing more foĀcused on imĀpressĀing what he called a "failĀing cult leader" than on pubĀlic serĀvice.
RagĀbir said he did not enĀter polĀiĀtics to āchant sloĀgans or curĀry favour,ā but to serve. āIāve treatĀed thouĀsands of paĀtients, stood with conĀstituents durĀing floods, health crises, and loss,ā he said. āThatās not āpassĀing throughā thatās showĀing up.ā
