Attempt to escape flames fails: Man killed in house fire

Police believe Anderson Francois tried to save himself when fire broke out at his home in Point Fortin on Saturday night.
The 40-year-old man went into the bathroom and placed a wet towel over his face.
It was inside that bathroom, fire officers discovered Francois’ body after extinguishing the blaze that gutted the two-storey house.
