The new UNC adÂminÂisÂtraÂtion will proÂceed with a 35-memÂber GovÂernÂment, which inÂcludes CabÂiÂnet memÂbers, minÂisÂters asÂsistÂing subÂstanÂtive CabÂiÂnet memÂbers, and parÂliaÂmenÂtary secÂreÂtaries.
While 32 memÂbers were sworn in yesÂterÂday (the Prime MinÂisÂter and AtÂtorÂney GenÂerÂal were sworn in on ThursÂday), PerÂsad-BissesÂsar statÂed that her choice for the newÂly esÂtabÂlished MinÂistry of Trade, InÂvestÂment, and Tourism is curÂrentÂly out of the counÂtry and will be anÂnounced latÂer.
There are now 25 govÂernÂment minÂistries (inÂcluÂsive of the OfÂfice of the Prime MinÂisÂter). Some have unÂderÂgone name changes, while othÂers have been split, reÂflectÂing an apÂproach simÂiÂlar to that of the forÂmer PeoÂple’s PartÂnerÂship adÂminÂisÂtraÂtion.
