Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has restructured several ministries and will lead a 25-member Cabinet as she begins a new five-year term in office.
On Thursday, Persad-Bissessar was officially sworn in by President Christine Kangaloo at President’s House. Her first Cabinet appointment was John Jeremie as Attorney General.
A second ceremony was held at President’s House yesterday where 32 members of Government were sworn in, comprising 22 substantive Cabinet ministers, four ministers in ministries, and six parliamentary secretaries.
