King Charles sends Trinidad and Tobago Independence Day greetings

King Charles III has con­grat­u­lat­ed Trinidad and To­ba­go on its 64th In­de­pen­dence an­niver­sary, de­scrib­ing the re­la­tion­ship be­tween the two coun­tries as an “en­dur­ing part­ner­ship” root­ed in shared val­ues and mu­tu­al re­spect.

In a mes­sage to Pres­i­dent Chris­tine Kan­ga­loo, the King said he re­mained proud of the Com­mon­wealth’s role in fos­ter­ing “un­der­stand­ing, co­op­er­a­tion and op­por­tu­ni­ty” around the world.

Charles al­so ref­er­enced the es­ti­mat­ed 25,000 Trin­bag­o­ni­ans liv­ing in the Unit­ed King­dom, say­ing they en­riched the re­la­tion­ship be­tween the two na­tions.
