The Unit­ed States is con­grat­u­lat­ing Trinidad and To­ba­go on the cel­e­bra­tion of its 63rd an­niver­sary of in­de­pen­dence.

In a state­ment, the Unit­ed States not­ed the part­ner­ship shared with T&T in ad­vanc­ing sta­bil­i­ty and pros­per­i­ty across the hemi­sphere. The mes­sage high­light­ed on­go­ing co­op­er­a­tion in dis­man­tling transna­tion­al crim­i­nal or­gan­i­sa­tions, dis­rupt­ing nar­co-traf­fick­ing net­works, and build­ing re­gion­al en­er­gy se­cu­ri­ty for the ben­e­fit of both na­tions.

The state­ment em­pha­sised that these ini­tia­tives demon­strate the val­ue of the part­ner­ship and its re­gion­al im­pact. The Unit­ed States reaf­firmed its com­mit­ment to con­tin­ued col­lab­o­ra­tion with T&T, un­der the lead­er­ship of Prime Min­is­ter Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar, in the ar­eas of re­gion­al se­cu­ri­ty, eco­nom­ic growth, and sta­bil­i­ty.
