Residents in the Tunapuna area may have noticed increased clean-up activity on Tuesday as Member of Parliament Roger Alexander worked alongside crews from the Tunapuna/Piarco Regional Corporation’s National Programme for the Upkeep of Public Spaces (NPUPS) to help beautify communities across the constituency.
According to Mr Alexander, the clean-up effort is part of a wider push to improve public spaces and enhance the quality of life for residents.
“The project is about keeping the place clean. We will be moving from area to area on different days, different parts of the week. Beautification is important, you know. It speaks to mind, soul and body. So what you’re seeing today is just that we are fixing the place.”
