Top of­fi­cials from the Min­istry of En­er­gy and En­er­gy In­dus­tries met with lead­ers of Caribbean Gas Chem­i­cal Lim­it­ed (CG­CL) on Thurs­day to dis­cuss op­er­a­tional up­dates, fu­ture col­lab­o­ra­tion, and com­mu­ni­ty de­vel­op­ment ini­tia­tives.

The meet­ing was led by Dr Roodal Mooni­lal, Min­is­ter of En­er­gy and En­er­gy In­dus­tries, and Ernesto Ke­sar, Min­is­ter in the Min­istry. They were joined by se­nior min­istry of­fi­cials, in­clud­ing Per­ma­nent Sec­re­taries Pene­lope Brad­shaw-Niles and Karin­sa Tulsie.

Rep­re­sent­ing CG­CL were CEO Keio Ka­to, Chair­man Omote Masaa­ki, and oth­er top ex­ec­u­tives. The com­pa­ny re­port­ed a cur­rent pro­duc­tion and ex­port vol­ume of ap­prox­i­mate­ly four mil­lion met­ric tons of methanol. CG­CL plays a crit­i­cal role in the methanol sec­tor.
