Mere days after a new government was sworn in, a war of words has erupted over the condition of Whitehall which houses the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM).
Former public administration minister Allyson West fired off a media release yesterday stressing that the building is fit for use, while minister in the OPM Barry Padarath accused her of making excuses to justify millions spent on a “vanity project”, which he claims is a health hazard and unfit for occupation.
Unfit for use: Another area of an office space at Whitehall that is in need of repair.
