Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar said yesterday an audio clip featuring voices that sounded like herself and Tobago House of Assembly (THA) Chief Secretary Farley Augustine was “fake”, as she accused the People’s National Movement (PNM) of using artificial intelligence (AI) to create fake videos, audio, and images in its “dirty” election campaign.
The audio is incorporated into a one-minute, 52-second video, which begins with Augustine making it categorically clear that the Tobago People’s Party (TPP) has had no meetings with the United National Congress (UNC).
The video then shows photos of Augustine and Persad-Bissessar, accompanied by voices of a man and woman that sound like them, allegedly discussing assistance to the TPP.
