KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s broadcasting fraternity is mourning the passing of veteran broadcaster Dervan Malcolm, whose voice was a familiar presence on Power 106 FM for more than three decades.
Malcolm died on Thursday following a period of illness, according to the RJRGLEANER Communications Group, which expressed condolences to his family, colleagues and friends.
Over the course of his career, Malcolm took on several roles within broadcasting, including news presenter, editor, sportscaster, talk-show producer and executive producer of programmes.
