“The PNM has fallen!”
So declared Finance Minister Davendranath Tancoo just before 2 a.m. yesterday as the budget debate ended abruptly in Parliament when no Opposition MP rose to speak.
The drama unfolded after Claxton Bay MP and Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Tertiary Education and Skills Training Hansen Narinesingh concluded his contribution to the budget debate.
