Residents of Guayaguayare, on Trinidad’s south-east coast, were treated to an unusual sight on Sunday as massive pieces of industrial equipment, resembling rocket boosters, slowly made their way along the main roadway as part of a major natural gas development project.
The oversized equipment is part of the Manatee Gas Development, one of the country’s major upcoming natural gas initiatives.
The equipment was transported from Galeota Port to the Beachfield Gas Processing Facility, a distance of about 13 kilometres.
