THREE men were arrested on Saturday afternoon after police intercepted a vehicle carrying what was later identified as stolen pipes from a compound at Egypt Village, Point Fortin.
According to police reports, at about 4.15 p.m. Estate Constable Edwards of the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) contacted the Point Fortin Police Station after observing three men inside Substation #51 FW-SO 3X, a partially secured compound located off LP 10 Main Road.
Based on the report, WPC Cobham-Grant and a party of officers attached to the Patrol Unit West responded and went to the location. On arrival, they saw a white Kia K2700 van, with 21 lengths of iron and pipe strapped to the rear of the vehicle. Three men were also seen at the scene.
