Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar is not fazed by words of caution from Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez, who said TT’s economy could collapse if this country continues to rely on the US for access to Venezuelan gas.
“I think we are going up in the sky. We are going uphill,” Persad-Bissessar told reporters on October 23 while at the National Job Recruitment Drive in Couva.
Rodriguez accused Persad-Bissessar of leading the people of TT “off a cliff” by trusting US Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s alleged promise to supply Venezuelan gas for free.
