To commemorate World Public Transportation Day, locals and visitors in Tobago had the opportunity to get free bus rides on all routes throughout the island.

World Public Transportation Day, observed on April 17th, 2026, is a new annual global initiative organised by UITP (International Association of Public Transport) to celebrate the essential role of, and advocate for, public transportation.

With this in mind, the THA Division of Public Infrastructure and Transportation partnered with the Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC) to offer free bus rides to highlight the vital role public transportation plays in connecting people to jobs, education, and services.
