The Trinidad and Tobago Postal Corporation (TTPost) has announced a temporary suspension of all postal items containing merchandise or goods destined for the United States.
The suspension takes effect immediately and follows a US Executive Order issued on July 30, 2025, which eliminates the duty-free de minimis exemption for goods valued at US $800 or less.
Effective August 29, all postal items containing goods shipped to the US, regardless of value, will now be subject to customs duties.
