Missing Venezuelan migrant Nikol Landaeta is a young mother and hotel worker who last week sought to return to her homeland and care for her children living there, her relatives say.Ā
Now five days since the pirogue in which she left the Erin shoreline en route to Venezuela capsized in the ocean, the young woman's family is denying reports that she was ever rescued.
Landaetaās uncle, Carlos Lanzu, took to his social media yesterday afternoon to plead with authorities for search efforts in Trinidad to continue, claiming that his niece was only seeking an āeconomicalā way to return home.
