A 35-year-old man from Diego MarÂtin has been freed of murÂderÂing a neighÂbour in 2009.
SylÂvan “Split Peas” Thomas, of CoviÂgne Road, Diego MarÂtin, was acÂquitÂted of the charge at the end of his judge-alone triÂal beÂfore JusÂtice Trevor Jones on WednesÂday.
Thomas was acÂcused of murÂderÂing forÂmer UnÂemÂployÂment ReÂlief ProÂgramme (URP) labourÂer Akiel Bernard on JanÂuÂary 30, 2009.
