Police and fire officials responded to a house fire in Tabaquite on Wednesday afternoon, which completely destroyed a two-storey home.
Around 1:28 p.m., officers from the Brasso Police Station were alerted to the blaze at #10 Emmanuel Junction, opposite Tabaquite Secondary School. Upon arrival, the wooden and concrete structure was fully engulfed in flames.
The homeowner reported that he noticed smoke emanating from the second floor around 1:15 p.m. and quickly alerted other occupants, who safely evacuated. Neighbours helped contain the fire from spreading to nearby houses.
