The mur­der of spe­cial pros­e­cu­tor Ran­dall Hec­tor on De­cem­ber 31, 2024, con­tin­ues to en­gage the po­lice.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors have been dili­gent­ly fol­low­ing the guid­ance of Di­rec­tor of Pub­lic Pros­e­cu­tions (DPP) Roger Gas­pard as they work to­wards solv­ing this shock­ing mur­der.

Dur­ing a me­dia brief­ing at the Po­lice Ad­min­is­tra­tion Build­ing in Port-of-Spain yes­ter­day, act­ing Com­mis­sion­er of Po­lice Ju­nior Ben­jamin said, “We have reached the stage where the file went to the DPP, and we were giv­en cer­tain ad­vice, so we are now fol­low­ing up on that ad­vice and then prob­a­bly to get back to the DPP as soon as pos­si­ble.”
