Almost $350 million in outstanding payments has been disbursed to employees of the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC), Minister of Public Utilities Barry Padarath has said.
He made the disclosure yesterday while speaking with reporters at the launch of a solar power system for the bitters bottling plant at Angostura Holdings Ltd, Angostura House, Laventille.
“You would recall the Prime Minister made a statement a few months ago with respect to T&TEC employees settling COLA (cost-of-living allowance) that was outstanding between the period 2015 to 2025. So, that, too, I think is on the right trajectory,” Padarath said.
