A 31-year-old woman from El Socorro Extension South was stabbed and robbed while walking along a pedestrian overpass on the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway in Barataria.

Police reports indicate that around 2.15 p.m. on Saturday, the woman was heading south on the walkover when she was approached by a man walking in the opposite direction.

The man reportedly grabbed her green handbag, which contained her national identification card, $20 in cash, and a Redmi Note 9 Pro cellphone valued at $2,500.
