A man who stopped to urinate along the highway was abducted, beaten, robbed and then dumped on the side of the road in Siparia by men claiming to be police officers over the weekend.
The man remained tied up at the side of the road for over 12 hours.
Police said around 5.30 pm on Saturday, the 37-year-old Morne Diablo resident was on his way home from a friend’s house when he stopped his white Nissan B14 along the southbound lane of Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway near Diamond Flyover to urinate. Shortly after a white van stopped and two occupants, wearing masks, approached him.
