Po­lice are prob­ing a mur­der and shoot­ing which oc­curred along the busy Char­lotte Street in Port-of-Spain yes­ter­day evening.

Guardian Me­dia un­der­stands three men were shot just af­ter 6 pm. The shoot­ing caused passers­by and on­look­ers to scam­per to safe­ty. One man, whose name was not re­leased, was killed on the spot, while two oth­ers were tak­en to hos­pi­tal.

Deputy Com­mis­sion­er of Po­lice Suzette Mar­tin was among the of­fi­cers who ar­rived on the scene. In­ves­ti­ga­tions are on­go­ing.
