A 20-year-old Venezue­lan woman was res­cued and two sus­pects were held fol­low­ing a re­port­ed kid­nap­ping near Kel­ly Vil­lage, Ca­roni, on Fri­day.

Po­lice said of­fi­cers re­spond­ed to a call around 1 pm near Rain­bow Su­per­mar­ket, where a 28-year-old in­for­mant point­ed to a ve­hi­cle leav­ing the scene and shout­ed at the of­fi­cers that the oc­cu­pants “now take my broth­er and them.”

Dur­ing a pur­suit, one sus­pect al­leged­ly point­ed a dark ob­ject re­sem­bling a firearm at the of­fi­cers, who fired in his di­rec­tion. The of­fi­cers lat­er in­ter­cept­ed a sil­ver Nis­san Ti­i­da, reg­is­tra­tion PCL 1092. The oc­cu­pants fled, leav­ing the vic­tim be­hind.
