The state funeral of The Right Excellent Sir Garfield Sobers is currently underway at Kensington Oval, as tributes are being paid to the National Hero and cricket icon.

The proceedings began with a solemn funeral procession from Parliament to the cricket mecca.

Sir Garfield, one of the greatest cricketers to have ever played the game, passed away on July 17, leaving behind a legacy that has inspired generations in Barbados and around the world.
