The statue of The Right Excellent Sir Garfield Sobers is quickly becoming a memorial, as Barbadians and visitors placed flowers and spent a few moments in reverence to the greatest cricket all-rounder who ever lived.

Sir Garry died at his home yesterday at the age of 89, 11 days short of his 90th birthday.

Some of those paying respect to the great man took a few moments to let us know how his passing affected them.
