A co-ordinated plot to harm a member of law enforcement stationed at the Eastern Correctional and Rehabilitation Centre (ECRC), Santa Rosa, has been disrupted with ten people detained.

This according to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), which said it received credible intelligence and in response to the threat, Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro, in collaboration with Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Suzette Martin, activated a covert tactical operation aimed at neutralising the threat.

The operation, which was supervised by Supt Ramesar, involved strategic deployment of officers from the National Opera­tions Task Force, Special Investigations Unit, and Inter-Agency Task Force, the TTPS said yesterday.
