(Kaieteur News) – A newborn infant was found dead inside a garbage container at a waste disposal site at Orange Walk, Bourda, Wednesday afternoon.
The discovery was made around mid-afternoon when an unidentified vagrant searching through the refuse stumbled upon the remains and immediately raised an alarm to nearby sanitation personnel.
Ackeem Austin, a Mayor and City Council (MCC) worker stationed at the site for the past six months, reported that the situation unfolded rapidly after the vagrant alerted workers on duty.
