(Kaieteur News) – Two men were found dead inside a pick-up truck that was pulled from a concrete drain along the Ogle-to-Eccles Bypass Road on Sunday morning, prompting police to launch an investigation into the incident.
The victims have been identified as 38-year-old Brian Sookram of Lot 3 Crown Dam, Industry, East Coast Demerara, who was driving motor pick-up GRR 5251, and 35-year-old Leon Sookdeo of Lot 998 Diamond New Scheme, East Bank Demerara, who was a passenger.
According to the Guyana Police Force’s traffic department, the vehicle was discovered overturned and completely submerged in a concrete drain along Henry Public Road. The drain, estimated to be about 15 feet wide and 10 feet deep, contained water and dense vegetation.
