Police have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with a store breaking and larceny at a popular Chinese restaurant in Canaan, Tobago, over the weekend.
Investigators said the business owner secured Wo Ping Chinese Restaurant on Milford Road around 9:40 p.m. on Saturday. When he returned around 2p.m. the following day, he found a southern window smashed, the interior ransacked, and an undisclosed sum of cash in both local and US currency missing.
Officers from the Shirvan Road Police Station, including crime scene experts, responded and recovered CCTV footage from the area. Following enquiries, a 19-year-old reef tour operator of Bon Accord.
