Barbados is under a Flash Flood Warning as heavy to intense showers spread across the island.
The Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) says 35mm of rain has already fallen, with saturated soils increasing the risk of rapid flooding.
“The tropical wave has generated pockets of intense rainfall across northern parishes, with accumulations of 35mm already recorded within a short period. As the tropical wave continues to affect the island, additional rainfall is inevitable, and with already saturated soils, flooding is more than likely to occur,” the BMS said in its updated weather bulletin.
