A 33-year-old pork-knocker is expected to be charged with possession of narcotics after police found a quantity of ganja in his possession at Six Miles, Matthews Ridge, North West District (NWD), on Wednesday.
Police stated that ranks were on patrol duties when they intercepted a motor vehicle along the Six Miles Main Road. At that time, a 44-year-old man was driving, and the suspect from New Amsterdam, Berbice, who was from Oronoque, Port Kaituma, was the pillion rider.
However, a search was conducted, during which ranks found a transparent Ziploc bag containing a quantity of cannabis in a haversack that was in the possession of the 33-year-old man.
